A Celebration of Bread, Community and Local Flavour

The Festival du PAIN et CIE / BREAD & CO Festival is a celebration of bread, Acadian heritage, local food and the people who bring our communities to life.

Taking place from October 3 to 17, 2026, in Memramcook and throughout southeastern New Brunswick, the Festival brings together bakers, artisans, farmers, producers, restaurants, cafés, markets, artists, community organizations, families and food lovers.

Through local experiences, workshops, competitions, special events and delicious discoveries, the Festival invites everyone to gather, connect and celebrate the many ways food and bread in particular, can bring people together.

our story

Born in the heart of Memramcook, the Festival du PAIN et CIE / BREAD & CO Festival was created in 2026 to celebrate the region’s rich baking traditions, Acadian culture, local products and culinary creativity.

The Festival grew from a desire to create a welcoming community event where people could discover local talent, support regional businesses and share meaningful experiences around the table.

Its first edition marks the beginning of what we hope will become an annual tradition in southeastern New Brunswick: a Festival that celebrates local knowledge, cultural diversity, creativity and the simple pleasure of enjoying good food together.

Our 2026 Theme: Slice of Life

The theme of the inaugural Festival is “Tranche de vie – Slice of Life.”

It celebrates the simple, authentic moments that give life its flavour: sharing a slice of bread, gathering around a table, discovering a local product, learning a family tradition or creating a new memory with the people we love.

Every loaf has a story. Every recipe carries knowledge. Every meal shared with others becomes part of our collective story.

Throughout the Festival, we invite you to discover and celebrate these special slices of life.

Rooted in Our Community

The Festival is more than a celebration of bread. It is an opportunity to recognize the people, traditions and businesses that make our region unique.

By showcasing local bakers, artisans, producers, farms, cafés, markets, bistros and restaurants, the Festival helps strengthen connections between the people who create local products and the communities that support them.

It is also a place where generations can meet, stories can be shared and traditions can continue to grow.
